Overview
We completed 186 miles of gas gathering pipeline design, route selection, and permitting to support the development of the Marcellus Shale natural gas play, connecting well pad sites and compressor stations to the processing plant pipelines.
Tasks included pipeline alignment/constructability surveys, wetland delineation and comprehensive permitting. Working closely with the clients’s landsmen, we evaluated preferred routes to minimize environmental impacts, addressed landowner concerns, and improved constructability issues while simultaneously completing PADEP, USACE, and PennDOT permit applications and providing permitting/design for well pad locations tied into this gathering system.
Additional pre-construction services included survey control and stakeout of pipeline centerline, right-of-ways, and easements. Pipeline design included pipe sizing, alignment drawings, cathodic protection, bill of material drawings and takeoffs. Construction as-built documentation integrated into GIS provided the operator control for the life of the system.
