Pipeline Integrity Verification & Remediation

identify, verify, & rectify

Managing complex networks of pipeline infrastructure can be quite challenging. Rapid development across systems, geographies, and time spans, can lead to missing system information, making a holistic view and an informed and actionable compliance and safety plan out of reach. We’ve developed a Pipeline Integrity Verification & Remediation (PIVR) program of services to help fill in, or verify information and connect your data, to help you make more informed decisions for compliance and remediation for your pipeline infrastructure as it grows, changes, and ages.

The Pipeline and Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA) continues to increase its focus and attention on our nation’s aging pipeline infrastructure, and the potential safety concerns of operating outdated and undocumented systems and equipment. Catastrophic events, which have been associated with the failure of these “grandfathered” assets, have increased public and industry attention on safe and responsible operation of existing infrastructure.

We’re here to help you meet PHMSA guidelines and implement a comprehensive program focused on Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP) verification, traceable documentation evaluation, high consequence area (HCA) and moderate consequence area (MCA) identification, integrity remediation planning as required, and infrastructure management. The PIVR program is designed to help organize and evaluate existing records and support the development of plans to substantiate acceptable operating parameters through a comprehensive evaluation process.

It is our goal to help each of our clients establish and maintain safe, compliant, efficient, and reliable systems throughout their new and existing pipeline network. PIVR is customized to your needs; we work directly with your records, operations, and engineering departments to develop a program that fits your needs, and ensures your records are traceable, verifiable, and complete.

PIVR services include:

  • MAOP supporting documentation review
  • HCA & MCA evaluation
  • Review of pressure test records
  • As-built & test data sheet development
  • Operating Specified Minimum Yield Strength (SMYS) analysis
  • System component rating evaluation
  • Facility compliance inspections & remediation planning
