Summer is here and so is a new batch of interns. Through our internship programs we are training and evaluating the next generation of professionals. After they complete their college education, some may return to Entech as full time employees. With this diverse group of students, we are gaining much needed help and high quality work, and in turn they make connections and get experience… it’s a win-win situation.
Here’s a look into the talent we have brought aboard this summer (talent that we hope sticks around!)
G. Aaron Dewald | Civil Engineering
Hometown: Fleetwood, PA
School: West Virginia University
Year: Rising Senior
Major: Civil Engineering with a concentration in environmental engineering
This is Aaron’s first summer at Entech and he is excited to have the opportunity to learn, revealing, “they knew I didn’t have the skills from classes alone to do the job, but they were still willing to teach me”. This company was exactly what he was looking for and aligns with the type of work he is most interested in now. He brings his outgoing and loyal personality to Entech! A fun fact about Aaron is that he cheerleads at West Virginia University!
Maddie Mace | Administrative
Hometown: Tamaqua, PA
School: Elizabethtown College
Year: Rising Junior
Major: Social Work
This is Maddie’s first summer at Entech and she already has learned to appreciate how much effort goes into even the smallest tasks. She is excited to bring her positive attitude and hard work to the office! In the future she hopes to be a marriage and family therapist. Her favorite part about her major is that she can make people’s lives better and easier (which is exactly what she is doing for Entech) For fun Maddie plays flute in the band at Elizabethtown and she is saving up the money she makes with this internship to pay her way to Ireland for a school trip.
Colleen Euclide | Marketing
Hometown: Boyertown, PA
School: Ithaca College
Year: Rising Junior
Major: Integrated Marketing Communications
Colleen is excited to spend a second summer at Entech where she does a wide variety of marketing work. She hopes through this internship she finds what area of marketing and communications that she is most passionate about. She loves getting to work for a company that has such a strong company and employee culture and she hopes to help add to that! Colleen brings her positive bubbly attitude and she is a fast learner. For fun Colleen is on a dance company at Ithaca College and she is also president of Ithaca Outing Club where she leads a wide variety of outdoor recreational events.
Brett Flory | Mechancial Engineering
Hometown: Newmanstown, PA
School: Drexel University
Year: Rising Junior
Major: Mechanical Engineering
Brett is looking forward to spending six months with Entech as part of his Co-Op program through Drexel University. He is excited about the experience he is getting and the fact that it is much easier to understand engineering when there is the real life application of it. When he came into this summer he didn’t have a specific focus but now that he is here he has found a new interest in renewable energy. Once Brett graduates he is going into the military and then will return to the workforce after four years. Through his ROTC experience he is confident that he can demonstrate leadership. In his free time Brett loves to play the guitar!
David Dise | Mechancial Engineering
Hometown: Lititz, PA
School: Penn State University
Year: Senior
Major: Energy Engineering with a minor in Environmental Engineering
Dave is another retuning intern from last summer and is hoping to stay at Entech after he finishes his last semester at PSU this fall. He is very interested in renewables and is eager to work more in that line of work this summer. Dave appreciates that working as an intern is completely different than school but he is very confident in the quality of his work. For fun Dave likes to ride his motorcycle and play tennis, softball, and hockey!
Blake Strickler | Electrical Engineering
Hometown: Reading, PA
School: Loyola University
Year: Rising Senior
Major: Electrical Engineering
Blake is returning for his second year at Entech to gain even more field experience. He is very good at staying focused on the task at hand and he is happy to apply the concepts he learns in classes to the work he does here. In the future Blake is striving to get his PE license. An interesting fact about Blake is that he can solve a Rubik’s cube.
