Early last month, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development (RD) lowered water and waste disposal loan interest rates for the 3rd quarter, to historic lows. Rates range from 1.75-2.875% and can have terms up to 40 years fixed.
Funds can be used for potable water, wastewater (sanitary sewer), stormwater, and solid waste disposal systems that serve rural areas with populations of 10,000 or less. Most regions of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Delaware would qualify for this federal loan program.
If you have a water or wastewater project in need of funding, this is a great resource to explore for low interest funding.
